Please do reference it! Wish I had more time to update. Read NYT article from yesterday, 7/27, Ripple Effects of a Messy Divorce: A Stormy Eviction by Cara Buckley which TOTALLY misleads, to say noithing of fact a divorced woman who gets some state support and has 4 kids, one retarded, was just BRUTALLY evicted from her apt. by the 66th precinct which has a notorious reputation for corruption. The woman pd rent almost one yr and then was given nominal lease by Chana Taub because Simon Taub was aiding and abetting vandalism of the apt. and abuse otherwise of this woman as she testified under oath in court, produced pictures of the vandalism, etc.. Other tenants threw garbage in halls and out front, etc. so this woman, Soya Radin, took it upon herself to start taking care of the building, hence that became in exchange for the rent. However, in multiple court papers is fact that 3 other tenants owe over $40,000 back rent which is essentially being ignored by the courts, and of course these tneants are cohorts of Simon and are not being evicted. BUT NYT interviewed me, Chana, etc about this case 3 yrs ago when it was already horrendous, and I'v e kept them updated, hence they deliberately allowed this highly misleading article!!!! I know 2 people (one a lawyer) who said they had to stop working with the courts in Brooklyn over 30 yrs ago because even then corruption was rampant. But several forces are now joining to expose corrupt family courts across U.S. and one case is even slated to have preliminaries heard by the Supreme Court.. An award winning (the 13 min preview- check out web re NoWayOutButOne) documentary will be released in next few months re woman who actually got asylum in the Netherlands over 10 yrs ago DUE TO CORRUPT RULING BY U.S. court! Shame on us!! Also just saw excerpt from web video re others starting to band together re other corruption in courts that hurts business, etc. This is NOT good for the U.S. and excessive loopholes, all sorts of delaying tactics, too easy to sue, frivolous suits, ETC. are no doubt causing part of our state and federal deficits, yet media and politicians are not addressing it- at ALL our peril!

It probably is, but video wasn't made by me. However, I am so interested in getting this information out that I have frequently stated anyone may feel free to promote it anyway they can. Thanks for your interest. I can't emphasize enough that the American public needs to discuss how to create enforceable checks & balances on our legal system, no matter the topic SOON or we will destroy the future for all our children & grandchildren. The media has got to pick igt up to spread the word, & to date have mostly been resisting.

Aside from: a) pressing "select all" ( and you probably have to do that re each entry you want to send) from drop down menu after you press"edit" at top of your screen, b) then returning there & pressing "copy," c) followed by pressing the enter bar when cursor is off any actual print- anywhere in margin is fine- to eliminate highlighting which appeared when you pressed "select all," d) and then either creating a new email or a new MSFT or Office Max ( or whatever you have to write new documents), and e) finally pressing "paste" - in the new email or MSFT or Office Max or whatever you have opened to make a new document- from also up in drop down menu from the edit bar up top, I don't know. Sorry, but I am not very computer sav vy- maybe you can get other less cumbersome method described to you from someone who knows more about computers. Good luck and thank you for interest in my materials as they are extremely important for the well being of the U.S.! STG

I do need the link, and don't know how tom include that in the blog. Could you please send link and also how to include it? I am not very computer savvy as they didn't begin common use till well after I graduated from college, and I was never involved with it in any business arena. I haven't had time to update my blog, but would like to say the legal situation in Brooklyn, esp. re Taub case (Now ongoing 5 1/2 yrs, last 2 1/2 including bankruptcy by wife with home in foreclosure- vs court orders but ignored by him and by courts & ditto scads orders- & 2 small rental properties also since husband allowed to take them over once wife filed for divorce. Bankruptcies & foreclosures cost ALL society as does the mere operation of the courts so abuse costs taxpayers lots. Husband is acknowledged BY the courts to be worth at least $40+M- just latter fact enough for anyone to say something is very wrong. Wife just filed RICO- fed. racketeering- against not only her husband, but his lawyers, some judges, DA's office, bldg dept- & note even NYT summer 2009 reported MOB involved in all NYC boroughs, police dept, etc, and in my opinion she is RIGHT ON as I continue to often attend the various court sessions. But of course the Powers-That-Be are in process of getting it dismissed, even though I have been interviewed by high investigative sources at THEIR request, and I'm in Who's Who of America & 5 others due to over 40 yrs of public advocacy, and I have masters in math and advocacy, was married 23 yrs to high-powered atty. have been remarried 18 yrs, have 3 sons & 2 stepsons, etc).
Above commentary re legal abuse is BY NO MEANS just about Taub case or Brooklyn, NY or topic of divorce. A few examples.- official study from 1996-2006 reported that in 29 states re just their 843 fed. judges and thousands of filed complaints, NOT ONE got sanctioned! CA sanctioned one lightly and hence didn't make the list, and no state sanctioned more than a tiny few, and usually a mere slap on the wrist. An Illinois newspaper reported about a yr ago- "We import lawsuits & export jobs." A FL paper said one in ten small businesses actually go out of business due to legal abuse. W. VA just bragged that they dropped to #3 on judicial hellhole list. I ask- why should anywhere in the U.S. be allowed to sink to level of the official term of judicial hellhole? Good lawyers & judges are appalled and their effectiveness is compromised by our not making our legal system more transparent and accountable- it has indeed become about who can win, not fairness and affects every aspect of society ( a lawyer - Philip K. Howard- gathered official statistics into a book that estimate that health care costs are about 30% higher than they should be due to fear of suit, actual suits, etc). A mothers' day march in front of White Houise last spring got CNN to report that a low estimate of 58,000 kids are in abusive custody awarded by the courts- outrageous and surely doesn't tend to turn out model citizens. Of course that report received scant coverage and indeed nothing much has changed, including re any meaningful sanctions re abusive priests, rabbis, etc, which of coursed tarnishes the good ones, too, to some extent, as well as many people's faith in organized religions. ETC. Legal shenanigans promote and protect outrageous compensation, too. U.S. 2000 census reported divorced women's lifewtyle drops an ave. 43% relative to their exes'. I believe that may be subconscious reason why increasing numbers of women aren't marrying or are waiting tinto their 30s to insure being financially independent, and then waiting even longer to have kids which will indeed skew the balance of society. Keep in mind I only have sons and have long been remarried, so this is surely not an anti male comment, rather pro human- we need to dialogue re solutions.
In short I believe that failure to clean up our legal system increasingly depresses our entire GDP in countless interrelated ways. I continue to ask for national dialogue (no matter the legal topic, but including often outrageous and hard-to-verify hourly billing) & contests re constructive, compassionate ideas for solutions before we do too little too late. I repeat what is on my blog already- a quote from Thomas Jefferson- "The germ of the destruction of our nation is in the power of the judiciary." Reason he gave was lack of checks and balances. He soon also said only solution was to "inform the public discretion." Well it has been almost 200 yrs, and the power of compounding is alive and well and the fact that everything is interrelated (Butterfly Theory) is also, which I have emphasized on my blog already. The power of compounding BY DEFINITION slowly causes a base to be built which then seemingly suddenly begins to rise, and then soon skyrockets out of control. I maintain we are in the dangerous "rise phase." I like to use cliches since they have withstood the test of time. Please consider -1) Absolute power corrupts absolutely, 2) All it takes for evil to flourish is for good people to do nothing, 3) None are so blind as those who will not see, 4) Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world as iindeed it is the only thing that ever has. A less well-known one from the Hopi Indians is- "When the grandmothers speak, the earth will heal." Well, I am a grandmother of five and have been doing public advocacy over 40 yrs. and there must be some good reasons why I am in the original free Who's Who in America, etc, etc I am also the Exec. Dir. of the Nat'l Advisory Bd. to the Nat'l Coaltion for Family Justice- a 501c3 since 1988, gender-neutral, non-partisan, and has been requested to assist in over 10,000 cases- primarily only when legal abuse has been reported. The Chairman of the Board is a male lawyer who is horrified re the level of court dysfunction. I have no self-interest other than I am scared for future of my kids and grandkids, BUT they share this planet with YOU and EVERYONE ELSE!!
Perhaps you might spread the above around on You Tube- PLEASE?!

You are right. I am amazed and scared that across the country it is nearly impossible to force a judge to recuse, muchless get them actually sanctioned or removed from the bench. Brooklyn appears to still be mired in the corrupt courts over which Judge Garson was jailed for ten yrs starting June 2007. There are many cases both in supreme court and family court in Brooklyn where clear evidence of abusive behavior by those before the court as well as various court actors such as guardians ad litem, judges, etc. either gets ignored or twisted. I continue to complain ( and my complaints are now going VERY high up and out of NY, no doubt partly because I am now in 6 Who's Who including Who's Who in America, etc. due to over 40 yrs of public advocacy; I keep getting invited into others, etc., etc. which indicates also that more are paying attention) and have reason to believe there may be a tad of light at end of the tunnel.
Brooklyn FC judge's order to award extensive overnight visitation and even consider custody of 5 children for father who had criminal court conviction of making sexual touches of some of the kids, etc, etc. just got overturned by appellate last wk. Fact that judge and guardian could even get as far as they got proves serious urgent need for reform. It is also horrendous beyond belief that a judge (in this case another female judge) in the United States in the year 2009 could knowingly sentence children to torture- I do believe that is the worst crime on this planet- surely it at least puts us on a level with the Taliban! But there have now been 6 NATIONAL custody crisis conferences in Albany, NY past 6 Januaries, but no major media coverage even though it has been requested and no note taken by senators, etc. (but brand new pres. post has just been started to address domestic violence- need not be physical, but always includes emotional abuse and very often financial abuse). Failure to acknowledge that abusive behaviors cycle and increasingly compound is akin to ignoring cancer which is about to metastasize.
But legal abuse is by no means confined to family issues, but includes health care and business, etc.- indeed every type issue that comes before any of our courts. Failure to est. checks and balances soon could be the ultimate undoing of the U.S. as there is increasingly little respect for the courts and huge expense which is one major component of our entire financial crisis. Note CA reported that just in the year 2001 they had 766 official complaints filed against their fed. judges, but only ONE got sanctioned (lightly)! You don't need to know anything to know that that result is absurd & very harmful to justice, ETC!!

Carolyn Demarest has proven record of unfair treatment of Jews and ethnic minorities in her courtroom. She is a highly biased judge.
